Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals with experience working with East Gippsland's Aboriginal community to join our dedicated and respected Aboriginal Health team at BRHS.
We are excited to have full time and casual positions available and flexibility to tailor position duties to align with applicant's qualifications and experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for a range of professionals to perform in this role, so whether you have a Community Services, Aboriginal Health or Nursing background, we would like to hear from you.
The BRHS Aboriginal Health Unit actively supports our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to work towards improving their health and the health of their Community.
In this role you will play an important part in ensuring the services received by Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people are culturally appropriate and meet the specific needs of individuals and their families.
Depending on your background, your role may include assisting individuals understand the health service, conditions and treatment options, providing access, care coordination and support services, being a key resource for staff and contributing to strong partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organizations (ACCHO's).

Role criteria: Qualification in Community Service/Development, Aboriginal Health, Registered or Enrolled Nursing or substantial relevant experience.
Minimum 2 years' experience working with Aboriginal groups and services.
Strong commitment to social justice with demonstrated ability to advocate on behalf of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and empower people to self-advocate.
