Make your mark in GL Accounting Area Local statutory and USGAAP Accounting reporting of AIG Mexico legal entities, including but not limited to the period end close, Non-Insurance Balances, Intercompany reconciliations, as well as internal and external audits preparations.
The GL Accounting Area will also support Local Accounting Reporting in having a general oversight for the legal entities in Mexico to ensure all preparation for key financial deliverables completion and submission on time.
How you will create an impact Prepare all period end closing financial reporting activities in the US GAAP and Local GAAP ledgers for the Mexico entities in conjunction with FC to ensure all reporting deadlines are met.
Prepare and support month end and quarter end reporting activities.
Prepare analytical review including variance analysis of month end financial results with the Local Reporting Manager and provide support for major movements ensuring that the results are complete, accurate and meaningful.
Prepare supporting documentations for statutory accounts to assist with external audit and reviews.
Present to the GL Accounting Lead the timely and complete compliance to local statutory.
Work closely with GL Accounting Lead and the Business colleagues to resolve issues and communicate changes.
Review and meet with GL Accounting Lead to discuss KPIs and prepare the dashboards that includes to ensure Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Intercompany balances and other schedules are completed on a timely and accurate basis.
Work with the GL Accounting Lead and the Local Reporting Manager in preparing key deliverables for the Business and for the External Stakeholders as requested by regional management and HQ.
Supports and collaborate with general ledger, accounts payable, invoicing, accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, tax, and fixed assets teams.
Supports the interface between the department and other divisions/subsidiaries.
Ensure accounting standards and policies are adhered to, including processes completed by Local and FC Teams.
What you'll need to succeed Key Capabilities: Strong analytical background with strategic thinking capabilities and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of accounting, treasury, internal controls, financial systems, and processes.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in writing.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Ability to multi-task, consistently meeting deadlines on multiple projects and activities.
Work effectively in a team environment and in building collaborative relationships with peers and with other stakeholders.
People Managerial skills.
Proficiency in English is required.
Proven experience in reporting to the CNSF mainly for RR's Reports and all the regulatory requirements for Insurance institutions, that is a Plus.
Change Management experience.
Key Experience: 3 to 5 years relevant post qualification experience.
Hands on experience in a Local and USGAAP reporting role.
Experience Insurance Industry is considered a PLUS.
Strong preference for working with shared service centers.
Internal controls experience.
Education: University Degree with Accounting major or equivalent.
