About the role: The Assistant Financial Accountant will work collaboratively with the Finance team to deliver our Finance plans and objectives.
The Assistant Financial Accountant will be responsible, along with other Finance Team members, for the preparation and reporting of the monthly Arrotex Monthly reporting, ensuring policies and procedures are maintained and followed, and ensuring a clean audit report.
Role & Responsibilities: Completion of monthly results within the agreed timeframe for subsidiary entities.
Accounts Payable - recording and payment of invoices.
Accounts Receivable - raise sales invoices as required and process cash receipts.
Preparation of GST return.
Sales and Gross Margin reporting.
Liaising with key stakeholders.
Budget preparation.
Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a similar role.
Ability to resolve accounting and finance issues through research and analysis.
Sufficient knowledge to perform recurring financial duties with a reasonable degree of independence.
Command knowledge to be a dependable resource to the finance team.
Ability to identify areas for improvement to ensure continuous improvement.
Show flexibility and able to work with a small, committed team.
Ability to form strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Robust technical accounting knowledge.
Excellent / Advanced written, verbal and listening communication skills.
Demonstrates high levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on quality in all work and activities.
Strong Excel skills - able to analyse large quantities of data: data sorts, pivot tables, filters etc.
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office 365 including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Share Point, One Drive, Forms, etc.
Previous experience using Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business Central is preferred.
Knowledge or previous experience of New Zealand entities accounting and taxation obligation is an advantage.
