This growth has created an opportunity for an Automation Technician to join the Melbourne team.
Responsibilities As an Automation Technician , you will be required to work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Electricians to ensure that the project requirements are being consistently met, in both the service and projects departments of the business.
To meet the requirements for this role, applicants will be required to demonstrate a track record in the following areas: Foster and build internal and external relationships, being continually focused on project outcomes in line with stakeholder expectations.
Comprehensive knowledge and skills to develop engineered automation designs using the appropriate methods, tools, processes, and software.
Attention to detail to ensure that design work is completed in accordance with all applicable specifications, regulations, and standards.
Drive and determination to meet short and long-term goals.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and fault-finding skills.
An attitude to drive innovation through all parts of the design and implementation process.
Development of professional skills and ongoing desire to develop core competencies.
Ability to fault find and assist customers in restoring automated systems in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience: You will ideally bring to the role: 3+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing industries such as Food & Beverage, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Pharmaceutical, infrastructure, energy resources.
Demonstrated experience building & delivering process control system projects.
Trade qualification with Victorian A-Grade Electricians Licence.
Degree qualifications in either Electrical, Control Systems or Mechatronics Engineering would be highly recognized.
SCADA design and implementation skills particularly for FT View, Ignition, Citect, Win CC RT, and others.
Design and implementation skills for capability with PLC and PCS platforms.
Rockwell Automation & Siemens experience required.
Omron, Schneider, Koyo etc.
is advantageous but not essential.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, C#, Java, VB, and VBS is advantageous but not essential.
Design understanding for system architectures, HMI, and remote Panels.
