About the Role The Eastern Health Learning & Teaching Directorate seeks a senior clinician for the position of Simulation Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
The Clinical Simulation Coordinator is pivotal in providing leadership related to the design, development, and delivery of Simulation Based Education and Training (SBET) for learners and staff to promote excellence in clinical practice.
This role is responsible for supporting education delivery by providing expertise related to clinical and SBET practices, in addition to the maintenance, functionality, and availability of simulation equipment within the simulation environment.
The position is of educational and simulation leadership and collaborates with the Director Learning and Teaching Specialist and Advanced Practice, clinical educators, trainers, and clinicians across all health disciplines in order to facilitate optimal learning and training delivery and promote inter-professional learning.
The Clinical Simulation Coordinator is a member of the Eastern Health Learning and Teaching directorate with roles and responsibilities across the organisation.

About You To be successful in this role you will possess: Tertiary health care related undergraduate qualification.
Current registration with profession specific regulatory board (with no conditions).
Relevant Post Graduate qualification (ie: Clinical, Education, Simulation) with Masters level desirable.
Recency in the delivery of health care within an acute setting (within last 3 years).
A minimum of 5 years experience delivering simulation-based education within workplace environments.
Experience in managing, troubleshooting, and using clinical simulation equipment and audio-visual technologies.
Experience with development, implementation, and delivery of Standard 8 programs (ALS credentialing preferred).
Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service approach.
Demonstrated understanding of conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Excellent computer competency with Microsoft Suite, including data management.
A current driver's licence.
Recent experience in a leadership role with direct report of staff.
A strong commitment to excellence and high-quality patient care.
The ability to work as part of a diverse team.
Excellent communication, prioritisation, and organisational skills.
Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.
