Life Saving Victoria is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society - Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia. Club Support Officer (East) - Club Support We have an exciting opportunity to join our member engagement team and be an active contributor to our club support activities. Working flexibly from the West of Victoria and in our Port Melbourne Head Office and reporting into the Club Support Manager, this full-time position is responsible for supporting our volunteer Life Saving Club boards, committees and members as well as establishing and maintaining a cooperative relationship of assistance and support between clubs and LSV state/area officers, and LSV head office. The role has several internal and external stakeholders and requires excellent client management and proactive engagement with others. Tasks include: Connecting Clubs to subject matter experts in Life Saving Victoria's OHS practices, member protection, use of equipment, special events, training and development, member retention and recruitment, codes of conduct and club development. Build Clubs' independence by increasing their volunteer administrative capabilities (including use of LSV and SLSA information technology systems and communications networks) and supporting the review of methods/processes for the regular improvement of club leadership and development processes. Identify and troubleshoot key issues, capability constraints and areas of improvement, and participate in or facilitate needs analysis and research to determine requirements of Clubs. Provide an exceptional level of customer support through regular face-to-face and phone engagement with key stakeholders, including Club Presidents and club committees and administrators. Who are you? You are an experienced development or support officer, with strong administration skills and a continuous improvement mindset. You will be an exceptional collaborator who is comfortable communicating at all levels. You will have excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise. Your enthusiastic, approachable, and can-do attitude will be the basis of your success in this role. Strong customer service or club development experience including working with or supporting volunteers. Strong IT knowledge and capabilities with the ability to learn new IT systems as required, and work with others to improve their capabilities (we currently use Surf Guard, Mailchimp and Canva). Good stakeholder engagement and management experience, including demonstrated experience continuously improving relationships and outcomes with key stakeholders. Experience working autonomously and under pressure, in an environment requiring troubleshooting and a solution-oriented focus. Previous experience as an officer in a sporting, emergency service or volunteer-based organisation and knowledge of or interest in water safety, lifesaving is highly regarded.
