The Client and You Working in partnership with: Technical Managers Operational Teams Maintenance Engineers Electrical and Mechanical Fitters Skilled labourers to develop and maintain high-end energy storage projects.
Required to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, assisting the team to meet strict deadlines.
Hybrid position, office & home-based, with 4 trips to designated sites each year.
Qualifications and Experience You will have at least 5 years of experience driving renewable projects from an electrical standpoint, and an excellent understanding of the design and application of equipment, devices, and systems (Photovoltaic & SCADA systems, PLCs, Inverters, Network hardware / Ethernet).
Applicants must have an excellent understanding of RCA, identifying the root cause of problems to identify appropriate solutions.
Key Responsibilities Use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients, build rapport, and identify and understand their specific needs and requirements (high-end energy storage projects).
Offer solutions for the customer and site-based teams, problem-solving, and critical thinking with a focus on bringing low-cost clean energy.
Function as an analytical technical specialist formulating and developing advanced electrical engineering concepts, as well as preventative maintenance and proactive strategies for renewable projects.
Strong technical capability, good understanding of HV and electrical engineering ensuring timely solutions for field-based teams, focusing on minimal system downtime.
To be a successful fit for this position you will have: An Electrical, Mechatronic, or Automation Engineering degree.
Analytical thinker / Problem solver, ability to identify and resolve control and electrical hardware issues remotely and on-site, promptly.
Able to gather and analyse information to develop alternative solutions.
Strong technical capability, root cause analysis, reverse engineering, and 5 years of previous experience working within a maintenance environment.
5 years of post-grad experience installing, configuring, and performing rigorous testing of various electrical systems and processes (Photovoltaic & SCADA systems, PLCs, Inverters, Network hardware / Ethernet).
Works well in group problem-solving situations and shares expertise with others.
