About the role A unique opportunity to join a high-performing and collegiate Finance team as a Financial Accountant.
This role will work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure the accuracy of the Firm's general ledger, balance sheet and preparation of the monthly management accounts.
The key duties and responsibilities of this role will include: Posting and reviewing of journal transactions to the general ledger.
Monthly general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations and reporting.
Oversee the fixed asset register, BAS preparation, and lodgements.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all required financial transactions for month-end and year-end closing processes.
Preparation of FBT working papers for review and submission by external accountants.
Mentoring of Assistant Accountant and Accounts Payable Officer.
Assist with the Firm's annual financial budget process and reporting.
Participation in Finance and firm-wide projects with an emphasis on innovation and ultimately process improvement.
About you To be successful in this role, ideally you will have the following: Bachelor Degree in Business / Commerce / Accounting.
Studying toward CPA / CA qualification.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in both financial and management accounting.
Relevant experience working in a corporate environment (preferably a professional services firm).
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
Experience with Aderant Expert will be highly regarded.
