Position Overview At Merry People, we put the customer first in everything that we do.
Pivotal to maintaining this goal is ensuring all stages of the logistics lifecycle run smoothly — from raw materials, factory production to shipping, third-party warehouses, and last-mile delivery.

Working alongside the CEO & General Manager, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing, driving, and optimising Merry People's day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in logistics and supply chain management, with a proactive improvement mindset and a passion for Merry People's brand & vision.
Leading the Supply Chain & Operations team, you will play a critical role in ideating, planning, and executing strategic objectives across the Supply Chain & Logistics process across all markets to achieve commercial success at Merry People.
Key Responsibilities Reporting to the General Manager, your primary responsibilities will include: Factory Relations & Production Management: Oversee production & lead key projects across our international factories including opportunities to reduce ordering lead times, production timelines, and supporting our mission to our sustainability journey.
Key KPIs will be reducing manufacturing lead times on category 1 products, margin improvement, and unlocking flexibility via local warehousing.
Gross Margin Improvement: Lead medium to long-term projects that drive growth, efficiency, and profitability across COGS, international freight, duties & last-mile delivery.
Manage operational budgets and performance, monitoring key metrics and taking proactive action to deliver targets.
Responsible for the management of inventory across systems and locations to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
Review stock movement processes and put forward opportunities for efficiencies.
Unlock opportunities to improve flexibility of stock holdings across our regions to maximise global sales opportunities.
Strategic Leadership: Provide input to CEO & General Manager on Supply Chain & Operations strategic objectives & projects.
Lead the execution and delivery of initiatives in line with defined timelines & budgets.
Lead 3 PL Warehouse & Courier Relations: Key contact for all 3 PL and courier relations (AU, US/CA & UK).
Manage relationships proactively & inline with brand values.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop our Supply Chain & Operations team, ensuring ongoing support, coaching, and guidance to deliver on KPI's.

The ideal candidate is someone with experience in scaling D2 C brands, thrives in a leadership role, and brings the best out of their team, a curious critical thinker, and someone who embraces a fast-paced environment.
You have: Minimum 5 years experience with a D2 C brand that has significant volume in global markets (footwear or apparel ideal but not essential).
Experience in leading and growing a D2 C brand with COGS value of eight figures annually.
Minimum of 8 years experience in logistics & supply chain management.
Experience ideating & executing end-to-end key strategic operational projects including a reduction in production lead times; Gross Margin improvement / cost efficiencies.
Experience in leading inventory system management (ideally CIN7).
Proven examples of optimising stock management across systems and locations.
Significant experience in 3 PL management & factory relations.
Exceptional leadership & communication skills.
Strong knowledge of supply chain & operational impacts on the balance sheet & the ability to read financials.
Strong analytical and commercial problem-solving abilities, with a keen understanding of key performance metrics and financial management.
