Mac Killop Family Services - South Melbourne, VIC Voluntary, Charity & Social Work Source: u Workin JOB DESCRIPTION This position plays a crucial role in protecting an organization's information assets, managing risks and validation, and ensuring compliance with applicable systems.
Key result areas and responsibilities The IT Support Specialist will: • Complete IT operation activities including responding to incidents and support requests • Maintain, upgrade, and provide support for system infrastructure across a diverse set of operating systems, software, & hardware • Provide training, including procedural documentation and relevant guidelines • Maintain security patch, antivirus, and intrusion prevention services in adherence to Mac Killop's Information Security Management system (ISMS) • Execute identity and access management (IAM) processes in adherence to Mac Killop's ISMS • Conduct regular access reviews to ensure that access permissions are commensurate with business requirements • Other duties as required.
Key selection criteria The incumbent will have: • A minimum of two years of IT experience • A bachelor's degree in information systems and equivalent work experience or IT professional certification • Available to work outside of business hours, some weekends may be required • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Platforms, especially Active Directory, Defender, Endpoint, Exchange Online, Purview, Share Point Online and Teams • Proficiency with LAN, WAN, and Wireless networking • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and a caring attitude • Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff, and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgment when working alone • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families Other information The incumbent is required to: • Sign and actively abide by Mac Killop's Code of Conduct.
• Observe and actively support Mac Killop's P.8 People and Workplace Policy.
• Observe and fulfill health and safety responsibilities as contained within 'WHS-P-001 Responsibility • Attend mandatory and other training as required.
• Actively participate in Mac Killop's Bid Management process as required.
• Participate in and promote continuous quality improvement processes.
• Promote an environment that is culturally safe and strengths-focused.
• Abide by the principles and commitments of the Sanctuary Framework.
• Incorporate cultural safety into your practice with Aboriginal families.
The incumbent must possess a: • Valid and current Driver's License.
• Valid and current Working with Children Card.
• Valid and current NDIS Worker Check (for NDIS risk-assessed roles).
• Satisfactory criminal history check conducted by Mac Killop Family Services.
