```html Description Mission Statement: To execute project design authority for control engineering disciplines with medium to high complexity within the Grid Edge Solutions, Microgrids, and Battery Energy Storage business.
Coordinate and execute engineering assignments across several disciplines within the project scope and value chain - efficiently, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and business objectives.
The primary responsibilities will be control system design of Microgrids and BESS Systems and project engineering activities across diverse applications (e.g., Mining, Oil & Gas, grid scale storage, Commercial & Light Industrial).
Your Responsibilities: You will develop and deploy control schemes for complex Grid Connected battery projects.
You will manage design, integration, deployment, and commissioning processes for control systems both on-site and remotely.
You will act as a technical lead, approve design deliverables, and review all project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
You will anticipate and solve unprecedented problems, crucial issues, and/or unique conditions, serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods.
You will assist in preparing proposals/presentations of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.).
You may represent the function in standardization committees and in communication and conferences pertaining to broad aspects of engineering assignments.
You will act as technical specialist support to project and team members, collaborating and networking within Hitachi Energy and externally.
You will lead engineering teams.
You will review, develop, and document quality standards, processes, tools, and techniques.
You will ensure that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements.
You will contribute towards continuous improvements of processes and tools for engineering efficiency.
You must ensure safe working procedures and practices are followed at all times, including the wearing and maintenance of assigned Personal Protective Equipment; attendance at required health, safety, and environment training; and reporting injury, incidents, hazards, and near-miss events.
You will model safe work behavior in all aspects of work and actively identify hazards and risk controls.

Your Background: Bachelor or master's in electrical engineering discipline with three years' work experience.
Experienced with standard communication protocols: MODBUS, DNP3, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, etc.
Understanding of a control system of Generator connection to the Grid: Spinning reserve, Frequency Control Ancillary services, Voltage support, Active power, etc.
Familiarity with grid interconnection SCADA requirements for AEMO and various TNSP.
Knowledge of design and commissioning of control systems in the renewable industry is preferred.
This role requires time-to-time travel as per the project requirement.
