Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join the team at our fast-paced Fulfillment Center (FC) in Dandenong South.
The focus of the Maintenance Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, conduct preventative maintenance on time to a high standard, and provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
Please note: The current night shift pattern includes 10-hour shifts for 4 days.
Key Job Responsibilities: Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams, and work efficiently to fix the issue.
Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
A day in the life: Our RME Technicians respond quickly to any machinery issues on-site.
They carry out planned preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is working safely, respond promptly to breakdowns, and make long-term improvement suggestions.
Working alongside senior colleagues, they undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.
About the Team: Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps our equipment performing at its best.
We maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers.
Our team handles most technical aspects, ensuring buildings are legally compliant and operating at maximum efficiency.
Open Positions: We are open to hiring candidates to work out of the following locations: Dandenong South, VIC, AUS BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert III in Engineering/Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner) Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.
