SLSNSW is forming a new team to manage UAVs (Uncrewed Aerial Vehicle's – Drones) within the SLSNSW membership sector of the organisation. In this part-time role, you will leverage your UAV expertise and surf lifesaving experience to play a crucial role in supporting UAV operations for our volunteer members. About the role This role will provide high level administrative and operational support to the SLSNSW Chief Remote Pilot to achieve the goals and objectives of the organisation. What you'll need A background within Surf Life Saving and / or thorough understanding of UAV surf lifesaving operations. Hold either the UAV Operator award, UAV Pilot award, or a Re PL. Well-developed oral and written communications skills (including presentation and report writing). Excellent computer skills in a number of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Excellent organisational skills. Unrestricted Motor Vehicle Licence required. Proven ability to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity and creativity to changing needs and situations. Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends and Public Holidays. Ability and willingness to travel when required. Some of the key duties will include: Assisting the SLSNSW Chief Pilot with the management of the pilot database. Assisting in the preparation and delivery of the emergency response training. Providing input as required into the ongoing development and delivery of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for UAV operations. Organising bookings for training and meetings. Assisting with state-wide equipment purchases, maintenance, storage and allocation. Monitoring UAV maintenance standards, including the investigation of defects. Regularly liaising with clubs, branches and other portfolios to ensure the effective delivery of UAV operations. Supporting the coordination and recording of statistical information, compiled by the UAV Pilots/Operators.
