Microbiologist

About The Company/role Well-known and recognized pharmaceutical company who is currently undergoing substantial growth based in the South Eastern suburbs.
Seeking 2 x Microbiologists for a 12-month maternity leave contract and a full-time ongoing position.
Full time, standard working hours.
These roles would be suitable for a switched-on Microbiology graduate who is keen to develop their skills in the laboratory within a GMP environment.
Duties Reporting through to the Quality Systems Manager, this position will involve all routine QC testing & analysis of samples.
Your duties may include but are not limited to: Raw material and packaging testing.
Media preparation and aseptic microbiological testing.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
Environmental monitoring.
Out-of-specification investigations.
About You Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology (required).
Understanding of aseptic technique and membrane filtration.
Previous experience in pour plate method, streaking and bacterial identification.
Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work well in a team or independently.
