They are looking for an experienced Planning Manager.
Planning Manager Salary dependent on experience Permanent Position Monday – Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 1:30pm finish Competitive Salary, 25 days holiday + bank Holidays4x annual salary life assurance, pension Location: Sunbury on Thames The Planning Manager will form an integral part of the Operations Leadership Team.
With a strong background in manufacturing practices, all planning processes, MRP control, and demand/inventory management, the candidate will lead a cross-functional team responsible for achieving financial and customer expectations.
Main Duties/Responsibilities Lead, maintain, and manage the next 6-month & 6-week sales plan based on Purchasing, Customer Services, and Operations input with regular reviews.
Implement and manage a Master Production Schedule where required.
Support SIOP requirements with the Senior Leadership Team to meet key business sales targets while considering cumulative lead times and limitations.
Level load the executable sales plan within the MRP system with Customer Services to ensure daily planning activities are executed within required service levels.
Focus on OTD with Operations of Production Orders to drive customer OTD improvements.
Develop into and act as MRP "super user" for the planning department and run reports to ensure MRP parameters are within policy.
Develop, mentor, and coach all members of the Planning Team.
Support ERP projects that drive business optimization.
Professional Knowledge & Experience Experience leading a team of 5+.
Proven ability to lead and execute SIOP.
Full understanding of MRP parameters and functionality.
Demonstrates solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities.
Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under pressure.
High competency level in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, as a minimum).
Experienced in works order control.
A proven understanding of traceability.
Ability to represent the section at internal meetings and present planning performance achievements.
Ability to lead projects and negotiate with cross-functional teams.
Good business writing skills and ability to influence business activity.
Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to drive results and obtain information from a team.
