But enough about us, let's talk about you We are in the market for an experienced Procurement Officer who will administer the City's procurement program, as well as maintain a high level of effectiveness in the delivery of goods and services within the established policy, procedures and legislative requirements of the position.
You will support the Coordinator Procurement Services in the analysis, development and delivery of best practice processes of the City's procurement systems through consistent monitoring and maintaining of its compliance, probity, accountability and transparency.
What you will bring to the team To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications and experience, additional information in relation to skills required can be read in the position description: A Tertiary qualification or diploma in procurement, business, law, or related fields is desirable but not essential.
A candidate without formal qualifications but is working towards one, or those who have extensive experience in performing procurement functions are encouraged to apply.
Three to five years' experience in the delivery of procurement services and contract preparation in a local, state or federal government setting.
Demonstrated experience in a procurement team including knowledge and understanding of procurement policies, guidelines and procedures within a local and public sector environment.
The finer details This Permanent full-time position attracts a competitive Level 5/6 annual remuneration range of $87,623 - $93,338 (Level 5) and $95,019 - $102,693 (Level 6) per annum, with a wide range of benefits to reward your contribution.
The determination of a Level 5 or 6 will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
