We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate the IT delivery for a significant redevelopment project.
The project includes the development of a new Palliative Care Unit and the relocation of the Day Surgery Unit at Mater North Sydney Hospital.
The role requires a strong background in healthcare IT infrastructure, with a focus on hospitals.
About you Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Project Coordination: Lead the planning, scoping, and execution of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
Technical Leadership: Provide technical oversight and guidance for the implementation of key infrastructure components including telecommunications, Wi Fi networks, Nursecall systems, and PC deployments.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, hospital staff, and external vendors to ensure seamless delivery of IT services that meet healthcare standards and regulations.
Site Management: Conduct regular site visits to Mater North Sydney Hospital to oversee project progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project specifications.
Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, ensuring cost-effective delivery while meeting quality standards and project milestones.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of IT infrastructure components within the project scope.
Requirements: Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, preferably within the healthcare sector.
Strong background in managing IT infrastructure projects in a hospital environment.
Familiarity with healthcare-specific technologies such as Nurse call systems and hospital-grade Wi Fi networks.
Excellent project management skills with a strong understanding of IT infrastructure.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are highly desirable.
Location: Must be based in Sydney.
