The Role A great opportunity is now available to join our manufacturing team at our Braeside facilities.
In this role, you will help to coordinate and source the supply of materials (domestically and internationally) for our maintenance team.
A key focus will be accountability for achieving cost of goods savings through the continuous review of pricing, quality and suppliers both locally and internationally to create a cost effective and sustainable supply chain to meet production requirements.
This role would ideally suit a Graduate Engineer looking to start a career in a large Maintenance team.
Key responsibilities: Managing maintenance parts and supplies Managing long lead time items Raising orders, liaising with freight forwarders, validating, approving and entering invoices and calculating landed costs.
Maintain adequate stock levels according to maintenance planned scheduling and repairs.
Sourcing & setting up new Business Partners (Suppliers) and items in the ERP system.
Management of Mex (Maintenance master data) to ensure accurate records.
Establish/maintain supplier relationships and evaluate and report on performance.
Evaluate and negotiate goods and service agreements with suppliers.
Identify and implement cost savings to reduce operational costs.
Assisting with maintenance scheduling/planning when required.
Other duties as directed and within the incumbents' skills and abilities.
The Successful Candidate: Would suit an Engineering Graduate Ability to interact with International Suppliers Microsoft Office 365 knowledge Strong administration and excel skills.
Proven ability to manage working relationships across production, planning, and warehouse operations Strong planning and organisational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as good numerical ability Ability to work under pressure A team player Applicants must be able to work in Australia without any ongoing work restrictions.
