ABOUT US Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican day school for boys from Pre-Preparatory to Year 12.

ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking two passionate and dedicated School Office Coordinators to serve as the welcoming faces of our school, for students, parents, staff and visitors.
In this job share position, you will manage reception duties and a variety of administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient school environment.
Key Responsibilities: Front Office Management: Serve as the first point of contact by greeting and assisting students, parents, staff and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Manage the reception area to ensure it remains organised and welcoming.
Communication Handling: Efficiently respond to enquiries and direct them to the appropriate departments or staff members, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to various school departments, helping to prepare documents and reports, as well as updating records and performing data entry for accurate information management.
Attendance Management: Maintain accurate student attendance records, generate lists of absentees and liaise with staff for follow up actions.
Lost Property Oversight: Organise and manage the school's lost property, ensuring all found items are catalogued and securely stored for retrieval by students and staff.
First Aid Assistance: Provide first aid support as needed, stepping in for the Health Centre Manager when required, and maintaining records related to student health and medical details.
This is a permanent ongoing, 0.6 FTE job share position, with a commencement in January 2025.
The standard hours are as follows: Morning shift: Monday – Friday, 8.00 am – 12.45 pm Afternoon shift: Monday – Friday: 12.30 pm – 4.45 pm Please indicate your preference for morning or afternoon hours in your application.
ABOUT YOU Knowledge & skills: Proven experience in an administrative or receptionist role, ideally within a school or educational setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with other relevant software.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, students, parents / guardians, and the community.
Friendly, warm and helpful attitude, with a genuine desire to create a positive experience in all interactions.
Advanced organisational skills and attention to detail, in a fast paced environment.
Effective time management abilities and capacity to multitask effectively.
Professional appearance and demeanour, representing the school positively.
Commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
