Our Technology in Deals team is a group of trusted advisors who assist our clients to navigate deal related IT challenges across the technology, financial and operational aspects of a transaction, pre and post completion.
Our clients are varied and include top ASX organisations, not-for-profit companies and private clients.
We use global experience combined with a mix of technology and financial expertise to rapidly develop an understanding of the target/client business to quickly assimilate the key technology issues, synergies, risks and upsides around a transaction.
We apply this knowledge and experience to continue to support the execution of post deal projects (following the completion of the transaction).
Our team is looking for a Technology focussed Senior Associate to work as part of a team of problem solvers with demonstrated technology, deals and consulting experience.
Applying your understanding of technology with experience of being involved in complex projects, you will help our clients by providing advice, support and technical expertise across all phases of the transaction (divestments, mergers and acquisitions).
Key Responsibilities: Carve out and divestment support – what does the IT landscape look like when we carve it out from the parent? How do we transition from the current IT operating model to a standalone or integrated model? How do we support the business during this transition without impacting operations? How to transform and right-size the parent organisation post-separation? Day 1 to Day 100 – how do we safely take control of the technology environment whilst managing risk in the first 100 days? What are the key priorities and quick wins to focus on? Integration and optimisation – what is the right level of technology integration and transformation to optimise the business and grow value? How do we implement sustainable cost savings? How do we run the integration program? Provide advice, support and technical expertise during mergers and acquisitions.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop and execute IT separation, integration or transformation plans which may include operating model design / process modelling; develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
Management of complex IT separation, integration and transformation, including data migration, system integration, and application separation or consolidation.
Support IT transitional services design (services scope, pricing, duration, service levels), execution (monitoring and reporting) and exit (separation projects execution) in the context of divestments.
Work alongside senior business and technology stakeholders applying prior experience in client engagement / stakeholder management.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT integration, separation and transformation.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications: Your experience may have been gained in one of the following roles: Technology experience across both strategy, integration and operations.
Technology Consulting / IT Risk / Audit.
Generalist Consultants with a passion for Technology.
