About the role Reporting to the Director, Corporate and Commercial, the Senior Manager Commercial Operations provides high quality commercial advice to support to the ACLS functions ensuring quality outcomes and consistency across the business.
The Senior Manager Commercial Operations is responsible for the management of the Commercial Strategy and the fee and commercial service models for ACLS and is an expert negotiator, communicator, and key influencer with effective stakeholder management skills.
This role manages the financial and commercial aspects of ACLS's transactions and involves undertaking complex business costings, financial modelling, and benchmarking analytics.
It also includes cognisance of commercial risk management activities ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements to achieve best value for money and meet stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
About you To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate: Demonstrated high level of commercial acumen and ability to develop a deep understanding of ACLS's commercial and financial drivers.
Proven ability to influence outcomes and resolve complex commercial issues through negotiations.
Demonstrated ability to develop costing models for business units that have driven efficiency and value for organisations.
Extensive experience in the management of commercial and financial issues associated with service delivery environments, including proven ability to navigate through complex contract documents, interpret contractual and legislative requirements.
Demonstrated robust management experience, and ability to deliver team and organisational objectives by providing the necessary direction and support.
Highly developed strategic planning skills with the ability to deliver outcomes in a complex and politically sensitive environment, within agreed quality, cost and timeframe parameters.
Highly developed writing and presentation skills with the ability to present complex problems with recommendations/solutions in a clear, succinct way.
Certification / Degree / Equivalent experience in a relevant discipline.
Experience in public sector or demonstrated understanding of the public sector environment.
Key Accountabilities Provide expert professional advice and recommendations on complex commercial, financial, costings, policy and related issues to support the delivery of ACLS's objectives and strategy, ensuring best value for money and compliance with Victorian Government legislation and policy requirements.
Develop, lead and maintain ACLS's fee models, ensuring consultation with relevant internal and external ACLS stakeholders.
Develop business cases, costings, and undertake cost benefit analyses on ACLS's large portfolio with the aim of growing ACLS's client base and service line offerings as well delivering improved efficiencies and cost savings.
Identify opportunities for financial growth, cost savings and forecasting, through understanding market changes and the impacts to ACLS services.
Support ACLS Contract Management and Procurement team in the oversight of contracts in relation to the key commercial terms to realise opportunities and commercial value, supporting business priorities to meet stakeholder expectations and achieve organisational objectives.
Motivate, inspire and guide a collaborative team to enable an efficient and effective working environment.
Actively drive people performance management processes to ensure alignment of individual desires with function and department strategy and needs.
