AGL's Integrated Energy unit has a newly created opportunity for a Senior Manager, HSE Training & Capability to join the HSE Systems, Reporting and Governance team.
Based in Melbourne or Sydney , you will be driving strategic initiatives and leading the development and implementation of comprehensive HSE training programs across the organisation.
The Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring all employees are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies to work safely and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will be working closely with the HSE Leadership Team in shaping the organisation's strategic focus, while leading the implementation of initiatives and projects that improve HSE performance.
What you'll be doing: Developing and implementing a strategic plan for HSE training across the organisation.
Conducting comprehensive training needs analyses across all operational sites.
Designing, developing and delivering HSE training programs (in-person, e-learning modules, specialised training).
Establishing and maintaining governance frameworks, while regularly reporting on training compliance, using data-driven insights to recommend and implement improvements.
Leveraging existing systems within AGL for training record management, ensuring compliance across the organisation.
What you'll bring: Strong leadership capabilities and a collaborative style.
Demonstrated experience of developing and implementing HSE training.
Training Design & Delivery: Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive HSE training programs, including in-person and e-learning formats.
Regulatory Knowledge: Ensure all training programs comply with HSE regulations and best practice.
Continuous Improvement: Innovate and enhance HSE training programs based on feedback, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
Technical Proficiency: Use training management systems, e-learning platforms, and course development tools effectively.
Problem-Solving: Address training gaps and capability development challenges, ensuring successful HSE initiative implementation.
Cultural Change Management: Lead initiatives to enhance safety culture within the organization.
Qualifications & experience: Tertiary qualification in Health, Safety or Environment, Engineering, Technology, or other related business discipline.
