About the Victorian School Building Authority The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is part of the Department of Education.
Established in 2016, it oversees Victoria's largest school building program since the state introduced free public education in the 1870s.
The VSBA upgrades and expands existing schools and plans, designs and builds new schools to meet enrolment demand.
We also support schools to maintain their buildings and grounds by offering expert advice and coordinating maintenance programs and grants.
About the Division The VSBA is recruiting two Administration Officers, one for the Major Projects & Property Division and another for the Project Delivery Division.
Each Administration Officer will support 2 branches in their respective divisions.
Major Projects & Property Division This division is responsible for delivering educational infrastructure projects and programs, including the acquisition and management of land as well as delivery of capital infrastructure projects.
The Major Projects branches manage and deliver major infrastructure projects including new schools and modernization initiatives.
Projects are normally high value and high risk (typically more than $25 million).
Project Delivery Division This division is responsible for delivering educational infrastructure projects and programs valued between $1- $25 million, predominantly delivered on operational school sites.
About the Role The Administration Officer (AO) role provides support to two Branch Directors with tasks including email and calendar management, processing invoices, organizing room bookings and providing administrative assistance for meetings.
The Administration Officer ensures completion of time-critical tasks, maintains accurate records, and works closely with Executive Assistants and Administration Officers across the VSBA.
Attributes The successful applicant will possess excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, an ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative as a self-starter, work collaboratively, and possess excellent planning and organizing skills with attention to detail.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience Required: Experience in administration roles for state government, architecture, construction, engineering, or project management organisations.
