KSC 5 Ability to facilitate outreach and communications with marginalised community groups and representative bodies, to lead community-driven engagement events.

Role This role will primarily be based at the Parkville Campus.
However, this position may require the successful candidate to work flexible hours, including school holidays.
Part of the screening process for this position may involve up to 5 shadow shifts.
This gives the potential candidate the opportunity to see the working spaces and what the work involves prior to a possible job offer.
Will usually be a member of the leadership team who is accountable for the development and delivery of key services that are integral to the effective operation of a school.
Provides a range of services and/or undertakes the analysis of complex problems that form part of the policy framework.
A school or group of schools would need to have the necessary diversity and complexity to create a role at range 5.
Management of a major school or district initiative, project or Department targeted strategy would be an indicator depending on the breadth of management responsibilities.
An education support class position supports the educational services being provided to students, but must not include duties of teaching as defined in clause 2.6.1 of the Education and Training Reform Act 2006 (Vic) or its successor.
Supervision of students cannot be required except where it is an integral part of the employee's position or involves supervision of students individually or in small groups, in controlled circumstances, where the responsibility for students remains clearly with a teacher.
Responsibilities To facilitate outreach and culturally safe engagement with students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Lead the development and delivery of a strength-based cultural program in collaboration with students, their families, and relevant community members and organisations.
To seek culturally appropriate regular training and professional development opportunities for themselves in service of students with complex educational needs.
To liaise with and support external training providers in delivering culturally safe, cultural competency training to teachers and school leaders across the campus, with support from the CRP manager.
To guide the delivery of culturally responsive peer learning communities.
To lead community-driven engagement events and visits for students in custody who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
Actively participate in team leader meetings.
Manage program budgets and financial expenditure within College and DE guidelines.
Manage approval processes between Parkville College and Department of Justice and Community Safety, according to the site-based requirements.
Manage work priorities & schedule, to support an effective Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Program.
In conjunction with the above requirements, Parkville College also sees the below as key responsibilities of the role: Provide and communicate accurate handovers when absent.
Encourage, monitor, and record student attendance in programs.
Attend and participate in appropriate professional development, including professional learning communities and Supervision.
Balance team and individual responsibilities; by ensuring that practice is underpinned and supports the Parkville College model.
Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
Display behaviours that reflect the Parkville College ethos and contribute to the strategic direction of the College.
Comply with legislation and College policies, processes, and instructions, including those relating to non-discrimination, safety, and duty of care.
Comply with confidentiality protocols related to sensitive information.
Undertake and comply with mandatory training and regulatory requirements as determined by the College.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development.
