About Cancer Services Austin Health is one of the largest cancer service providers in Victoria.
A complete range of services are delivered to patients and their families, including medical oncology, clinical haematology, radiation oncology (Austin Health and BHS), cancer genetics, palliative care, wellness and supportive care programs, an active volunteer program and specialist cancer surgery (managed via a separate Division).
These are all provided in an environment that integrates research, teaching and training.
About the role The purpose is to ensure all administrative activities of registering, booking, communicating, sending documentation under the direction of the co-ordinators and Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNC) are carried out in a timely, efficient and effective manner, supporting the quality and performance of Day Oncology.
A regular day will see you: Support the Nurse Coordinator with coordinating patient bookings in hospital computer systems Book and register follow up appointments for patients using hospital Trakcare system Ensure accurate registration of bookings, admissions, discharges and clinic appointments in hospital computer systems including Web Scheduler, Trakcare and Cerner Oncology About you As the Administration Clerk, you will be someone who has excellent communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care.
