THE ROLE The Administration Officer role provides critical administrative support services to the Child Protection Litigation Office (CPLO) and will assist the leadership team, as well as the CPLO's solicitors.
The CPLO plays a critical part in the department's child protection program by providing legal advice and representation to child protection practitioners in the specialist Children's Courts across Victoria.
You will work predominantly in the Business Operations Team at CPLO; however, in accordance with clause 19 of the VPS Agreement (where applicable), you may be asked to join a different team where business operations require this.
The role is a contact point for stakeholders from a diverse range of organisations, government, and private organisations.
Attention to detail, teamwork, agility and flexibility underpin success in this role as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Under general direction, provide assistance with office processes and corporate information systems such as records management, financial information, client payments and ministerial correspondence.
Ensure data is accurate and complete when entering into systems.
Answer queries in person or via the phone, provide timely advice and undertake general follow up action as required, including correctly redirecting incoming mail and queries.
COVID-19 VACCINATION The department strongly recommends (but does not mandate) that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI (Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation) advice , given their individual circumstances.
As of June 2023, DFFH does not require evidence of COVID-19 vaccination status.
