Melba Support Services is looking for an experienced Advanced Disability Support Worker for a Fixed Term position at Cherry Court.
This role involves supporting individuals with disabilities in a residential setting, ensuring they receive tailored care and support to thrive.
As part of our dedicated team, you will work closely with the residents, their families/guardians, and your colleagues to deliver the highest standard of care.
You'll play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that prioritizes the well-being and growth of those we support.
In this hands-on position, you will: Assist with daily living activities, promoting independence and dignity Implement individualized support plans and assist with any medical needs, including medication administration Engage residents in community activities and personal development programs Collaborate with the House Supervisor and other staff members to ensure smooth operations and high quality care Document and maintain accurate records as necessary, keeping all information confidential Attend to behavioural support needs and contribute to a positive living environment The residents enjoy various activities, including outings in the community, arts and crafts, gentle exercise, and social gatherings.
Requirements Must hold or be working towards an Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management or equivalent qualification Minimum of 2 years' experience in the disability sector Strong understanding of person-centred active support and positive behaviour support Experience in administering medication and managing health needs Knowledge of NDIS processes and funding is preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team Current NDIS Worker Screening Check Working With Children Check Current unrestricted Australian Driver's License COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate - 3 doses Current First Aid and CPR certification Benefits Why Join Us?
