Our wide range of services includes assistance at home, transport assistance, nursing support, and home modification that can greatly help in daily living.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Provide in-home support to participants with health issues and daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, showering, grooming, meal preparation, transport arrangement, shopping assistance, cooking (or as per client request), community participation, and social activities.
Assisting the client one-on-one in-home.
Assisting clients with domestic duties.
Assistance in building client self-image and self-confidence.
Assist in developing and implementing client-specific programs to help these individuals build strong social skills and encourage independence whenever possible.
About you We are looking for Support Workers who are reliable, committed, and empathetic individuals to provide quality care.
Your knowledge of the disability sector should be extensive, with a genuine interest in helping others.
You should be able to comprehend rapidly the needs of participants and exhibit creativity, enthusiasm, and emotional stability.
The following responsibilities are essential: Understanding of confidentiality within the Disability Sector.
Reporting and recording relevant documentation for NDIS standards.
Knowledge of and awareness of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Understanding of Client Incident Management.
Hoist Transfer knowledge is a must.
Experience in various outdoor pursuits and activities.
A practical understanding of hygiene assistance and commitment to care.
Enjoyment in social activities and one-on-one engagement.
Understanding of physical limitations and having a safe, sensible approach.
Possess a high level of trust, honesty, and integrity and be able to maintain a professional relationship with all participants.
Self-motivated and a team player.
A can-do attitude and a genuine interest in helping others.
Strong communication and organizational skills - able to manage your time and support clients to do the same in an everyday capacity.
Strong work ethic and enjoyment of being a team player.
Commitment to providing responsive and considerate care.
Effective communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills.
Sound and effective time management skills.
Prioritizes punctuality and reliability.
Locations: Dandenong, Frankston, Mornington Peninsula, Chadstone, South Melbourne, Moorooduc, Ringwood, and across Melbourne.
