Council's Works & Infrastructure Branch has an exciting opportunity for an Aggregate Loader / Plant Operator – R2542 About the Opportunity The position involves performing a range of duties related to the bitumen sealing team, including operating the aggregate loader truck during the bitumen season to assist with bitumen spray sealing operations.
Responsibilities include applying pre-coat to bluestone sealing aggregate and loading bitumen sealing spreader trucks to the appropriate load limits.
Additionally, the role supports Council's Road maintenance and roadside works, ensuring the efficient, safe, and effective operation of plant and equipment.
This position is part of the Works and Engineering Services team, based at the MRCC Red Cliffs Depot.
What you will bring Ideally the successful applicant will have the following: Experience working within bitumen services, road maintenance teams liaising with staff and members of the public.
Hold a current Heavy Combination Truck License or have the ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment at own expense.
Ability to operate items of plant and equipment associated with civil construction or road maintenance works.
Traffic Controllers – Statement of Attainment Hold a current Level 2 First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain Hold a current Construction Induction Card accredited by Work Safe Victoria Hold a current Police Check or willing to obtain Salary and Conditions The position is classified within Band 3 of Council's Current Enterprise Agreement ranging from $67,929.40 to $71,952.12 per annum including industry allowance, maintenance allowance plus statutory superannuation.
