We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and proactive Airfield Operations Optimisation Manager to join our Aviation team on a 12-month fixed term contract.
Be a key member of the Airfield Leadership team by working closely with all team members to drive performance improvements using insights and intel.
The Airfield Operations Optimisation Manager will build and understand the Key Performance Indicators for the Airfield Team to embed a continuous improvement and performance culture by determining 'what good looks like'.
The role will strive to enable processes that remove waste and enable improved efficiencies.
The role will support the other Aviation Operations Managers with process improvement workstreams across the wider Aviation Operations business units for the betterment of the full end-to-end operational system.
Key responsibilities: Embed a Culture of Continuous Improvement and Performance Facilitate and lead process improvement projects within the Airfield Team.
Build Continuous Improvement (CI) capability within the airfield teams to ensure that front-line input is included when CI projects are facilitated.
Develop and lead the 'Airfield CI Champions Group' Support other Airfield Team Managers to remove waste from processes enabling them to re-direct time to core activities.
Work cross-functionally with stakeholders where there are external touchpoints with process improvement projects.
Lead improvement workstreams on the airfield (and when required across the wider Aviation Operations Business Units) that are informed by intel which support efficiencies, safety, engagement, compliance, or activities that enable Operations to improve Own the Change Management Process within the Airfield Team Support and enable all Airfield Team Members to use the Change Management Process correctly.
Utilise the available data to build on the reporting capability within the Airfield Operations Team.
Analyse data to present improvement opportunities to the business, or to highlight negative trends that require a closer focus.
Define, and periodically refine the reporting metrics for the airfield team and operation.
Ownership of the Annual Technical Inspection (ATI), including development of a partnership agreement/contract that supports CI opportunities in the airfield team.
Implement opportunities that enable all aviation business units to improve, whether that be through efficiencies, pipeline improvements, or smarter ways of working to increase performance.
The successful candidate will have: Knowledge of the Airfield Operations team roles, functions, and processes.
Bachelor's degree in aviation or similar Ability to influence stakeholders Proactive and positive attitude Proven background in process improvement with a focus on positive safety and performance outcomes Minimum five years of aviation or airport operational experience CI Black belt or understanding of Lean Six Sigma Project Management Qualification We understand that not everyone will feel they meet all of these 100%.
