Job Description Location: Melbourne | Parkville Job type: Part time Organisation: The Royal Children's Hospital Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 Occupation: Medical and Nursing Reference: 12371 About the Role: This is a Permanent Part Time position at 0.8 EFT per fortnight within the rehabilitation department at Royal Children's Hospital.
You will be responsible for providing clinical care under the delegation and supervision of allied health professionals to children requiring specialised rehabilitation following illness, injury or elective procedures.
You will work alongside physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, psychologists and with other allied health assistants in our close-knit and friendly team.
The position involves an incredibly interesting and varied caseload with children requiring goal focused innovative care including those with acquired brain injury and/or spinal cord injury and children with cerebral palsy.
Our interdisciplinary team assists both inpatients and outpatients in individual or group sessions.
Other duties include maintaining therapy equipment and administrative duties to support the allied health rehabilitation team.
Classification for this position is IN30 (base salary $65,75 per annum pro rata, plus superannuation).

About the Department: The Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS) is a state-wide specialist service which caters for the complex rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents recovering from major injury, illness and elective procedures aimed at functional maximisation.
The VPRS at The Royal Children's Hospital has rehabilitation beds located in the main hospital, and a large community-based service.
The interdisciplinary rehabilitation team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, social workers, psychologists, music therapists, rehabilitation consultants, technical advisors and nursing.
The team work together to provide specialist rehabilitation in partnership with children and their families who require interdisciplinary, goal-focused, innovative care.
