The Analyst, reporting to the National Manager: Wholesale Credit is responsible for efficient preparation and submission of precise credit applications for new and existing Automotive Wholesale customers including the completion of annual reviews on existing facilities and other portfolio management functions.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities Providing quality and accurate financial statement analysis and evaluation of all new, existing and proposed counterparty transactions for credit.
Partnering with the sales channel and engaging directly with customers in a productive and relationship focused manner.
Add value, provide guidance and professional risk advice in deal discussions and negotiations with sales teams and customers.
Collecting, reviewing and evaluating periodic financial data from customers and wholesale audit performance data.
Assessing counterparty behaviours relating to credit limit utilisation (bailment), stock aging profile, payment performance.
Administration of account excesses (temporary over limits).
Contributing to the ongoing maintenance of wholesale portfolio hygiene which involves regular assessment and review of counterparty risk rating.
Supporting and strengthening the risk culture throughout the business.
Identify productivity and efficiency improvement initiatives across the team and assist in implementing these.
Effectively partnering with business partners and Group risk stakeholders to ensure a seamless and superior outcome for our people and customers.
Key Stakeholders Sales and Distribution (Commercial) Security/Documentation team Dealers/Customers Qualifications Tertiary and professional qualifications in a business-related (Finance or Accounting) degree, relevant to the finance services industry preferred.
Working towards or completion of CPA / CA / CFA preferred.
Experience Credit experience in Wholesale Automotive, Financial Services or Commercial Banking.
Commercial lending experience ranging between ($1 M - $100 M) preferred.
Sound credit and financial analysis skills (In particular financial statements).
Effective business acumen and Automotive industry awareness.
Proven ability to operate efficiently within a team environment and build lasting relationships externally and internally within the Group.
Advanced communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
Proficient in MS 365 Office Suite (In particular Powerpoint, Excel).
