About the role: The Applications Coordinator is a member of a Unit responsible for enabling and supporting permission and waste designation assessments across the State of Victoria, with a particular focus on coordinating applications to support the State's major infrastructure projects.
You will manage and triage incoming licensing applications ensuring proponents understand and comply with their regulatory obligations and requirements to prevent harm to communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
In this role you will: Review and evaluate incoming applications for completeness, stakeholder management, facilitation of key processes, and coordinating requests for additional information or documents to support these applications prior to assignment to an assessing officer.
Project management, facilitate and coordinate EPA's tracking and monitoring of major infrastructure project permission and waste designation applications.
Use your initiative to prioritise tasks and monitor your workflow, deliver accurate and timely support, and provide improvements to business services to support the permissioning application experience.
Embed and utilise continuous improvement principles to review internal processes within the Permissioning branch.
Skills and experience: Knowledge of permission assessment and approval processes, and the translation of policy and guidance into practical application.
Expertise in project management and project coordination of projects.
Ability to apply relevant government legislation, regulations, reporting directives, and procedures, to achieve optimal organisational outcomes.
Knowledge of the Environment Protection Act 2017 and Environment Protection Regulations 2021.
