You can analyse and evaluate the numbers to understand trends in multiple restaurants and proactively engage restaurant leadership teams to drive successful outcomes against KPIs.
You understand their challenges and opportunities for commercial growth and can also articulate in real terms how to execute against these goals and inspire results.
The Role: Reporting to the Regional General Manager, we are looking to hire a talented Area Manager to drive long term revenue and EBITDA growth through your leadership and development of our people.
Our Area Managers are commercial brand ambassadors who live and breathe the Grill'd values of Passion, Leadership, Ownership, Trust and Sustainability.
What You'll Be Doing: Responsible for company owned restaurant specific sales, main item volume growth and cost control to deliver budget profit alongside monitoring the forecasts; Use and analyse business information and reports to develop opportunities to maximise volumes and revenue and inform business decisions; Train, develop and motivate Restaurant Leadership teams to be effective leaders with exceptional management skills utilising systems and processes as the subject matter expert; Ensure the right leaders are placed in the right restaurant at the right time to ensure a successful leadership team and commercial outcomes for new and existing restaurants; Effectively manage and resolve any performance issues aligned to Grill'd policy and procedures; Ensure that the Grill'd experience is brought to life in each restaurant through exceptional operations and shift running; Effectively train and assess restaurant leadership to increase capacity and performance; Develop annual restaurant plans across your territory setting clear goals and objectives aligned to Grill'd business and revenue objectives; Support in providing a safe and engaging working environment which complies with OH&S, food safety, industrial relations, employment agreement and certified training requirements; Proactively manage COGS through each restaurants ability to accurately forecast and control wastage; Proactively manage labour costs through restaurant ability to accurately forecast, use of impact data and labour management practices; Ensure new restaurants launch successfully by working with key stakeholders including the support office, meeting labour budgets and mystery shop targets.
What You'll Need: A passion for great food - Grill'd especially! Experience leading, managing, inspiring and developing teams within hospitality is ESSENTIAL (restaurants, cafes, pubs, bars); Commercial acumen and experience developing and maximising revenue growth across multi-sites within hospitality for a number of years is ESSENTIAL; Proven ability setting, articulating and ensuring KPIs are exceeded through engaging, training and empowering your multi-site restaurants effectively; Strong understanding of restaurant compliance, OH&S and food safety and metrics needed to meet compliance KPIs; Expert communicator and ability to develop successful relationships by engaging others; Self-driven with a high level of personal accountability and desire to achieve; Exceptional change management and performance management skills; A proven ability to identify and develop talent and potential including deploying the right talent in the right restaurant.
