About the Role: A Children's Service Leader is responsible for the everyday support, coordination, and operation of their assigned services.
They provide leadership and coaching to support staff and lead a team of Support Workers in the support of children and young people engaged and/or living in our services.
The Children's Service Leader ensures high-quality support is provided and that routines and processes are embedded consistently and effectively across services.
Their focus is on engaging with Support Workers to guide trauma-informed and therapeutic supports to children and young people to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved.
The Children's Service Leader is responsible for effective communication amongst the team, with other areas of Aruma, and with external stakeholders regarding everyday activities relating to the care and support of the children and young people.
They will provide clear and positive guidance to staff and ensure legislative service level requirements are understood and embedded to ensure quality service delivery.
Travel Required Between Services About You: Relevant tertiary qualification/s (e.g., Diploma in Child, Youth & Family Intervention, Cert IV in Child Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent).
Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State).
Passionate about human rights and creating positive change.
Empathetic and compassionate, with a keen understanding of diverse experiences.
Enthusiastic team player, eager to collaborate and inspire.
A willingness and commitment to exercise self-reflection and improve as a leader.
Capacity to lead local implementation of change and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills, with well-developed written, verbal, and listening abilities, and the confidence to use a range of systems and technology.
