Full time, ongoing position $94 K - $103 K per annum + superannuation About the role The Assets Engineer will join the Permits and Development team, providing expert engineering advice on town planning and subdivision referrals, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering services.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assess and process Asset consent permits applications, drainage approvals and point of discharge reports.
Provide excellent engineering and technical customer service to all stakeholders over the counter, telephone and during onsite inspections.
Provide high level engineering input into allocated development and subdivision referrals.
Process allocated Building Over Easement or within one meter of Council drainage assets applications.
Assist Team Leader Development in developing operational budgets for programs.
Develop and implement developer information and education program to ensure permits requirements.
About you We are looking for an experienced professional with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills, who can adhere to procedures and collaborate effectively within the Permits and Development team.
The ideal candidate will have excellent time management skills, be highly motivated, and communicate with various personnel within and outside the organisation.
The following is also required: A Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
Eligibility for Membership of the Institute of Engineers is mandatory.
Lower qualifications with significant experience will also be considered.
Well-developed computer skills using Microsoft Windows environment, knowledge of GIS computer applications and knowledge of Pathways applications.
Experience in development, infrastructure protection, drainage design & flood investigation in urban environment in line with relevant standards.
Current Victorian Driver's Licence.
