As an Asset Management System Administrator, you will be assisting with management and the ongoing utilization of Council's Asset Management Information System (AMIS) and ensuring the integrity of Council's asset registers.
What you'll be doing: Oversee the ongoing accuracy and completeness of all asset related data managed in the AMIS and ensure processes and procedures are in place for both identifying and rectifying issues.
Oversee the development and implementation of internal processes relating to the ongoing review and maintenance of asset related data, particularly focusing on work teams that conduct regular inspections and maintenance activities.
Provide direction regarding the ongoing development and improvement of the AIMS, including the coordination of integrations with other Council applications.
Participate in the ongoing development of asset management across the organisation and assist with the development and review of asset management plans, including implementation of asset improvement plans and strategies.
Support the Coordinator Asset Management to prepare information for the capital works program.
In conjunction with the Information & Technology Department, oversee the ongoing rollout of the system upgrades, including the development of user acceptance test plans.
Liaise with the software vendor regarding any software issues impacting the effective use of the system and ensure that appropriate support is provided by the vendor.
Coordinate and provide application training to staff and contractors focusing on appropriate and effective use of the asset management system.
The skills and experience you'll bring to the role: An appropriate qualification or extensive experience in the development and application of computer-based strategic asset management systems.
Experience with Technology One is highly desirable.
Experience in asset management with knowledge of lifecycle management of assets.
Experience in the development of standard operating procedures for system and data management detailing specific actions that are repetitive in nature.
Experience in working with GIS applications.
Demonstrated ability to undertake investigative analysis activities into business processes and key systems to improve the quality and capability of services and solutions.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on the capacity to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships and partnerships both internally and externally.
Well-developed analysis and problem-solving skills.
Sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and corporate applications utilized in a local government environment (electronic document and records management system, customer request management system, etc.).
Demonstrated commitment to quality assurance practices, workplace health and safety, and environmental standards, practices, and procedures.
