The Role: Due to our continued growth, we are now seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Assistant Licensing Manager to join our team, focusing on licensing popular video games for consumer products.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a licensing professional with a passion for video games to help drive partnerships and bring these exciting brands to life across product categories such as apparel, accessories, peripherals, collectibles, homewares, food and personal care.
We proudly represent some of the world's leading video game companies, including Mojang, Microsoft Xbox, SEGA , and Activision Blizzard.
In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding their iconic brands through innovative merchandise and retail collaborations.
Key Responsibilities: Promote and secure new brand licensing partnerships for our gaming properties across diverse consumer products categories; Work closely with licensees and retailers to support and grow the video game licensing business and ensure successful execution of licensing agreements; Build strong retail presence to drive in-store and online initiatives, ensuring the best possible representation and sales for licensed products; Liaise with clients and brand owners , providing business updates and ensuring timely and accurate licensing processes including contracts, marketing and creative approval processes; Draft new deal memos and manage licensing agreements , ensuring all legal and commercial terms are properly executed; Coordinate brand marketing initiatives , including industry events, presentations, and retail activations, aligning closely with retailers to maximise impact; Monitor sales performance and analyse licensee needs to ensure ongoing success in key categories, continuously working with retail partners to optimize product placement and growth; Stay informed on trends and advancements in the video gaming industry , always seeking opportunities for innovation and improving the retail presence of licensed products.
Who You Are: You have a Bachelor degree in Business / Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
You bring 3+ years of experience in licensing, brand management, or a related area, ideally with exposure to consumer products or the gaming industry.
You have a passion for video games , with an understanding of gaming fans and trends.
You are outgoing, with strong interpersonal and communication skills including public speaking and presentations.
You are highly organized , with the ability to manage multiple timelines and projects simultaneously.
You are collaborative , capable of building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) and have exposure to contract administration and project management.
You are located in Sydney or Melbourne.
