About the Role As an Assistant Manager in the Emerging Corporate VIC Team, you'll play a key role in helping to acquire, grow and retain a quality portfolio of customers.
The purpose of this role is to partner with a Relationship Credit Manager to support thorough credit assessments for Emerging Corporate customers.
Role Type: Permanent Role Location: Melbourne, VICWork Hours: Full-time What will your day look like? As an Assistant Manager, you are accountable for: Maintaining a well-managed portfolio compliant with all relevant policies and procedures.
Maintaining control of workflows across all compliance and customer fulfilment processes.
Acting in the best interest of the customer and applying a customer-centric approach.
Proactively developing and maintaining a detailed understanding of customer business and financial needs.
Providing appropriate solutions towards account maintenance and simple customer requests.
Supporting the management of a portfolio of Specialist customers.
Collaborating with Product Partners and other stakeholders to fulfil customer needs.
Engaging specialist teams when required.
What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Customer solutioning: Supporting customers by understanding their needs and informing them about relevant products or services, and/or providing considered options that meet those needs.
Credit Analysis: The ability to assess a customer's ability to fulfill their credit obligations, considering both qualitative and quantitative factors such as character, capital, capacity to repay, collateral (security) and conditions (the 5 Cs of credit).
Relationship management: Building, maintaining and influencing relationships to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Compliance and policy management: Identifying and interpreting applicable laws, rules, codes and standards to create and/or manage policies, processes and procedures.
Data analysis: Collecting, profiling and analysing data to translate into meaningful insights to inform business decisions and deliver customer solutions.
Data interpretation: Using data and reporting to draw insights to problem solve and/or inform business or customer decisions.
Quality assurance: Ensuring the quality and viability of working solutions through quality practices and rigorous testing with a customer-centric focus.
Ability to support credit approval activities with proficiency in credit assessment and management.
You're not expected to have 100% of these skills.
