Educational leadership: Proven ability to provide effective educational leadership within a primary school setting, including the ability to utilise evidence-based practices to drive continuous improvement in curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment across the school.
Experience in managing staff, fostering a positive school culture, implementing strategies to enhance student learning outcomes and managing change including the leadership of others in the change process.
SC2. Curriculum development and Implementation: Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring alignment with Victorian curriculum standards and associated frameworks.
SC3. Staff development: Demonstrated capacity to create a professional learning community that is focused on the continuous improvement of teaching and learning, supporting all staff to achieve high standards and commitment to their own learning and wellbeing.
SC4. Interpersonal and communication skills: Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills in individual, small group and community contexts.
Exemplary values pertaining to personal qualities of objectivity, sensitivity and integrity.
An ability to work with parents and the community to develop a strong learning environment.
SC5. Strategic planning and resource management: Proven ability to contribute to strategic planning processes, including the development and implementation of school improvement plans that address the needs of diverse student populations.

Role The assistant principal reports directly to the principal and has a primary responsibility for the management of significant areas or functions within the school to ensure the effective development, provision and evaluation of the school's education program.
In exercising this responsibility, assistant principals will have the authority to make all significant decisions relating to the program, budget and staff relating to their area of designated responsibility within the framework of the school's strategic plan, policies and budget.
Responsibilities Supervision and coordination of the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators.
Allocation of budgets, positions of responsibility and other resources within the area of responsibility.
Supervision of the delivery of teaching programs.
Management of programs to improve the knowledge and experience of staff.
Responsibility for general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers and year level coordinators.
Contribute to the overall management of the school.
