The Role The primary focus will be to support the commercial responsibility of the new-build £70m school in Essex.
The role will involve the management of all project costs and value, reporting on projects to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, and providing day-to-day support to the commercial and operational teams.
Additional responsibilities will include: Accountability for maintaining profitability and a positive cash position whilst developing and maintaining team relationships.
Procurement on a number of contracts.
Providing commercial support to the commercial manager on a range of projects.
Monitoring each stage of construction for secured projects to ensure costs are in line with forecasts.
Reporting on the cost status of each job as part of project CVRs.
Placing subcontractor and supplier orders.
Cost control of invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
Preparation of monthly applications and final accounts, recording and processing of variations and early warning notices.
