We're moving forward and we want you to come along for the ride.About the opportunityWe're on the lookout for an experienced Operations Lead to join our Melbourne Gateway Facility (MGF) team. This pivotal role sits within the heart of Australia Post's operations and offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic team delivering high-performance results. As part of the Melbourne Gateway Facility, you'll play a key role in overseeing operations, managing large teams, and driving operational improvements as we continue to innovate and transform our network.You'll be part of a passionate team where change, customer service, and safety are at the core of everything we do. You'll have the chance to support the Operations Manager in leading day and night shift operations, focusing on continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency across our network.What you'll deliver with usIn this role, you will help ensure the efficient operation of the Melbourne Gateway Facility, with direct responsibility for driving performance, safety, and innovation. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll be accountable for the following key outcomes:Leading multiple operational shifts to achieve service standards and performance targets, ensuring smooth parcel processing and delivery operations.Overseeing staff allocation, operational performance, and managing resources effectively to meet the demands of both Express Post and International services.Supporting the implementation of cost-saving initiatives, network innovation programs, and operational improvements.Building a culture that promotes the One Team philosophy, focusing on customer service, safety, and the wellbeing of your team.You'll alsoLead and develop your team, ensuring operational targets are met while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.Support and drive significant change management programs, including the adoption of Lean practices and innovation initiatives across the network.Work closely with key stakeholders including HR, Finance, Safety, and Operations to ensure operational success and continuous improvement across shifts.Work 6pm - 2amAbout youWe are looking for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings a proactive, solution-focused mindset, and has a passion for driving results.
