We seek suitably qualified candidates for the role of Biochar Machine Supervisor to be based at our Carwarp Processing Plant in Carwarp.
You will be accountable for: Equipment Operation Ensure year-round operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Operate high-temperature biochar units (up to 550°c) by performing operations and routine maintenance of biochar production systems.
Inspect, diagnose, and perform major and minor repair work on all equipment.
Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
Maintain equipment parts and supplies inventories.
Safety Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow scheduled cleaning as required.
This role is suitable for someone with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant operational experience and experience operating high-temperature machinery.
Proven ability to operate mechanical equipment and knowledge of quality control procedures.
Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Office and other PC-related applications is necessary.
A strong analytical and decision-making skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Have a 'duty of care' mindset when completing tasks and a strong commitment to work safely and an affinity for teamwork.
Comfortable with basic mathematical calculations with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
A current unencumbered driver's licence is required to be able to drive on public roads.
