Australia's largest public museum organisation is seeking a Bookings & Enquiries Officer at Museums Victoria.
ABOUT MUSEUMS VICTORIA:
Museums Victoria cares for the State scientific and cultural collections, providing visitor access, activities and events at five distinct venues: Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, IMAX Cinema and world heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
The position is accountable for the provision of high-quality customer service by providing information and efficient services to customers who contact Museums Victoria via telephone, e-mail, online and other new media.
Some of the key duties include:
Deliver high-quality customer service through the provision of information pertaining to programs, exhibitions, and facilities for telephone, e-mail, and online generated enquiries.
Support the growth and delivery of Museums Victoria and IMAX Melbourne education and Public programs through:
Promoting and informing visitors about Museums Victoria programs.
Guiding educators through available and suitable programs, spaces, and options.
Independently and accurately collect, input and manage relevant information via our ticketing system.
Prepare schedules and maintain reports for Museums Victoria and IMAX education programs.
Provide support to front-of-house Visitor Experience teams.
Accurately process payments for education programs.
Respond to online enquiries.
Resolve customer issues and complaints within Museum guidelines and procedures.
The successful applicant will have:
Demonstrated high-level internal and external customer focus including effective teamwork and internal communications.
Demonstrated high-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability for problem-solving and conflict resolution.
Demonstrated experience in providing quality service in a contact centre or equivalent telephone and/or online-based environment.
Experience and ability to competently use cloud-based phone systems, computerized and web-based systems e.g., bookings systems, CRM, e-mail, MS Office applications, web-based applications.
OTHER INFORMATION:
Part-time (0.8 FTE) ongoing roles. The salary on offer is $56,834 + 11.5% superannuation.
