Builder Assessment Team Administrator, Domestic Building Insurance at VMIA 12 Months Fixed Term Location: Hybrid working Melbourne CBD close to Flinders St station Your role Reporting to the Head of DBI Risk Assessment, you will provide administrative support to the Builder Assessment Team which is part of the Domestic Building Insurance (DBI) Division.
The team reviews and assesses applications for eligibility from building practitioners and insurance for specific projects.
With your excellent communication skills, strong customer focus, and attention to detail, you will utilise your proven administrative experience and manage conflicting priorities, as well as a demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively.
What you do You will be a self-starter that is solution-focused with a proven capacity to problem-solve within the scope of the position.
You will provide administrative support including record management of the CRM database and electronic data.
You perform maintenance checks for the CRM database to ensure data integrity for informed and accurate decision making.
You liaise with clients such as builders, VMIA's DBI Distributors, building surveyors, homeowners, and direct specific queries received via email or by phone to appropriate channels.
You manage and respond to various incoming and outgoing information via various channels.
You operate within clear performance and behavioural expectations, taking accountability to deliver in accordance with agreed time and quality standards.
You consistently demonstrate positive and constructive behaviour, working collegiately across teams and divisions.
You are an active and impactful team contributor of ideas, insights, and operational decision making.

You will consult regularly with the DBI nominated distributors regarding builder eligibility and policy information.

Qualifications You have demonstrated ability with Microsoft applications Word, Power Point, and advanced Excel.
You may hold an Administration qualification at Diploma level or have relevant equivalent experience.
