Reporting to the Commercial and Sales Director, this role is a senior position with appropriate responsibility for developing and maintaining sector customers.
Position Overview: As the International Aerospace and Defence vertical lead, you'll become our expert on all facets of Aerospace and Defence, with specific focus on compliance requirements, internal education, industry connections, and business development.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and grow sales initiatives within the Aerospace and Defence sector, leveraging your logistics and freight expertise together with your professional network.
Responsible for all Oceania AOG services, Heliship movements, aircraft engine and engine parts shipments together with aircraft charters.
Grow the DSV footprint and brand in the Oceania Space exploration sector.
Develop and maintain comprehensive policies, procedures, SOP's for import/export Defence requirements, providing necessary training to operational and commercial teams.
Demonstrate an understanding of the Australian export control system, Dual National exemption, and screening processes.
Good experience and capable of knowledge sharing of ITAR, EAR and AEO compliance to establish a deeper knowledge within our organisation.
Qualifications and Experience: Extensive background in managing freight forwarding and logistics within the Aerospace and Defence sector.
Proven expertise in expanding customer portfolios and driving sales growth.
Demonstrated success in navigating international trade compliance.
Effective communicator, capable of delivering expert guidance on export-related regulations in a professional manner.
Adept at crafting trade compliance documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and tailored internal processes along with implementation.
Solution-focused mindset, with the agility to adapt to unique client needs.
