The Opportunity
Reporting to the National Sales Manager – Major Builders, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key major builders within Victoria. As the BDM, you will be accountable for continually advancing James Hardie's growth of High Value Products within major builders that service the single-family new construction segment. This is done by implementing strategies to strengthen our competitive position and deliver sustainable profitable growth year on year.
What you'll do
Drive market development within top 20 major builders in the region.
Develop integrated business plans to drive growth in repeat use and advocacy of our high value products and new product innovation with all key stakeholders of these businesses.
Execute insight-led frameworks to influence housing design/ranges to adopt fibre cement.
Work alongside the local team to continually reduce on the wall costs by training enablers on how to design, estimate, and install James Hardie products.
Work closely with Builder Marketing Managers to plan and execute joint collaborative marketing initiatives.
Align opportunities with the local sales team to drive growth through key customer partners.
What you'll bring
Minimum 5 years sales experience with a passion for and track record in business development.
Prior experience working with major builders is strongly favourable.
Strong communication, networking and influencing skills, with the ability to build positive rapport and relationships with key stakeholders across levels.
Proactive go-getter with proven ability to shift seamlessly between strategic and tactical thinking to deliver outcomes.
Ability to problem-solve and negotiate suitable outcomes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
Experience with Salesforce or another CRM is desirable.
