Situated in a vibrant and rapidly growing community 42km southeast of Melbourne, the College currently has an enrolment of 880 students with 95 teaching and education support staff.
CDSC fosters a supportive learning environment where every young person is empowered to grow as responsible and creative members of our community, valuing Respect, Effort and Integrity.
Staff and Students operate in one of four houses from Year 7 -12, providing a framework for the development of positive relationships to optimise learning outcomes, wellbeing and pathways.
Students are encouraged to have a voice and identity, and the College boasts an extensive Student Leadership Program.
Students in Year 7-10 study the CORE subjects of English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Health and Physical Education, and can access Visual and Performing Arts, Technology and LOTE (Japanese).
The Senior School program includes an extensive range of curriculum options offering students VCE, VCEVM, VET and School Based Apprenticeship opportunities.
Our dynamic instructional model focuses on providing a stimulated learning environment for all students and is supported by the Targeted Teaching Program in English and Maths which allows students to access learning at their point of need.

Responsibilities To implement and evaluate a whole school approach to Career Education.
To build partnerships and liaise with external community stakeholders to add value for our students.
To keep up to date on the development of policy and responses to government policies and ensure students are aware of developments in workforce, industry areas and the tertiary opportunities available to them.
Maintain and develop career resources and a Careers Office accessible to students ensuring all resources are up to date.
With the Assistant Principal, Pathways leader and teaching staff, implement a Careers program in Pastoral Care classes where students can participate in researching a wide range of careers and make informed decisions about possible career pathways.
Provide Work Experience, Structured Workplace Learning, School based Apprenticeship and Industry opportunities by liaising with employers and community stakeholders.
Keep up to date on VCAA and VTAC information particularly pertaining to Study Scores, ATARs and tertiary application requirements and changes.
Inform and provide advice to the school community on tertiary education entrance/application requirements and prerequisites, including UCAT, university scholarship programs, fee structures, accommodation options.
Inform and provide advice to the school community on tertiary selection (course and subjects), careers choice, tertiary applications (VTAC), Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS), open days at tertiary institutions, transition from school to work or further study.
Provide a counselling service at change of preference time.
Provide advice to school staff on counselling students about career and subject choices and assist with enrolment processes into Vocational programs.
Co-ordinate and maintain the On Track Data Destination Survey on exiting students Years 9 -12.
Provide appropriate career development programs and services for indigenous, culturally and linguistically diverse students.
Who May Apply Individuals with the aptitude, experience and/or qualifications to fulfill the specific requirements of the position.
