The Bridge Program The Bridge program delivers specified services for the management group GEO at the Ravenhall Correction Centre. The YMCA (Y) team is contracted to deliver on specific KPI's relating to the experiences and programs in prison, along with support and management of young offenders (twenty-eight years and younger) on release back into the outside community to reduce recidivism rates. The Bridge program recognises that employment provides more than an economic safety net. It provides individuals with a connection to the community, exposure to a prosocial network, and plays a pivotal role in shaping a positive and prosocial identity. The Role Reporting to the Senior Case Manager and Bridge Manager, the Case Manager will provide intensive pre and post-release support to young people engaged in our correctional Bridge program at Ravenhall Correctional Centre and our commercial social enterprise in the community. As the case manager, you will be responsible for taking a proactive, tailored, and flexible approach to responding to clients' changing needs as they seek to engage in major behavioural change and abstain from offending behaviour. Pre-release stage; assess prisoners twenty-eight years and under for program suitability and work proactively with each individual and allied support services to ensure their reintegration needs are met. Post-release; responsible for providing intensive outreach support to promote client's rehabilitation and reintegration into the community. This role encompasses four key elements: Case Management, Stakeholder Management, Program evaluation and monitoring, and employment practices. This role is a full-time, twelve-month maximum term position with an hourly rate of $43.08. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a strong communicator with the ability to build rapport with clients. You will have a minimum of three years of experience working with disadvantaged youth experiencing multiple complex challenges including mental health, drug and alcohol misuse, housing instability, and marginalisation within the community. Other requirements include: A non-judgemental attitude towards clients' offending histories Strong professional boundaries to provide sound intervention and guidance Demonstrated motivation and commitment to perform to their best Previous case management experience in an outreach capacity Understanding of therapeutic frameworks Qualifications Required Tertiary qualification in social work, youth work, psychology, or relevant social science Current driver's license At the Y Victoria, we are committed to empowering all Children and Young People to feel safe and be safe.
