About the Role As a theatre technician, you are a member of the multidisciplinary perioperative team. In this role, you are accountable for performing all assigned tasks providing excellence in patient care, providing technical support and ensuring that the role is performed to facilitate effective functioning of the Operating Suite. Responsibilities: Competent knowledge and preparation of required resources and equipment for the procedures in the Operating Theatre. Excellent troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge of the equipment in the Theatre. Excellent patient preparation and care including safe transportation and positioning of the patient. Excellent housekeeping management to provide a clean environment with all equipment required for the procedure. Classifications for this position will range from IN8 - IN10 ($33.27 -$37.19 per hour, plus casual loading). Your Contribution You should have the following skills and qualifications: Certificate III in Health (Theatre Technician) or Certificate IV in Operating Suite Technical Support. A technical aptitude and comfort working with equipment. Minimum 1 year of experience as a Theatre Technician (desirable). Current National criminal history check or willingness to obtain.
